Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so behold your beautiful bedroom as you open your eyes to take in your surrounding beauty. Your bedroom should be your sanctuary, the place you escape to after a long day at work. But creating a perfect piece of luxury, can become a rather daunting task, if you have no idea what you’re doing.
A comfortable rug
A blissful nights rest can be easily spoiled by stepping out of the best onto a cold, hard floor. Do yourself a favour and make sure your first step into the day is cushy and comforting. If you already have a carpet in your room, it simply can’t be enough. Consider layering a smaller rug by the bed, and step off into glorious cushiness.
Choose a comfortable chair for your bedroom. A good spot to sit down will serve you well when you’re reading something you can’t afford to fall asleep during, or need to have a conversation with your partner that’s best not had in bed. If you are breaking the no-tech in bed rule, then you might as well check email from a chair so it at least stays out of your bed.
A collection of things you love
There is no need to overwhelm your room with a lot or homeware or collectables. But a collection of beautiful ensembles to make your bedroom feel just right is a win. This is also a great way to include pieces you’ve acquired over the years but can’t quite figure out where to put them. Make sure they’re in your line of sight upon waking up and their true purpose will be revealed: Bringing you happiness.
A nightstand with all the necessities looks lovely but that’s not the only reason you see it so often in magazine spreads and on blogs. Nightstands, believe it or not, can actually become the main centre piece in your room – depending on the style of cause. Choose and eloquently shaped piece that is unique in its own right.
Choose your theme
A themed room is something you would consider for a child’s room, not an adult one. But, it doesn’t mean that you are opting for a spider man or princess theme. Your theme can portray serenity and peace, all in one setting. This is where wallpaper comes in, or paints if you’re daring and artistically talented. Give your room two shades of different colours or perhaps even a great pattern to finish off the walls.
Your room can be glamorous, funky or have a tad bit of mystery flair added to it. The choice is yours, just as the room as the room is. This is your place to bring out what you love and find enjoyment in your place of sleep and relaxation.
